About Us

Meet Pompom, the muse of Masamitsu and Bex Hisamatsu. In 2024, Pompom broke into their house through an open window and refused to leave. Pompom adored the cat tree Bex’s dad made over twenty years ago for previous family cats. The couple decided to refurbish their existing cat furniture and create new cat trees especially for Pompom.

Using carpets provided by Bex’s family flooring business, Masamitsu developed the prototypes and refined the designs. After Pompom’s thorough testing and quality control, Pompom Pets launched in 2025.

We provide the cat lovers of Wellington with quality pet furniture. We source materials locally from flooring companies, tradespeople, and building supply stores. All products are hand made to order and delivered to your door or can be picked up at our Petone workshop.
